Like the prior games, Ring of Fates will support up to four players in multiplayer mode, as well as sporting the option to go it alone in single player. In the event one decides to play with some friends, everyone involved votes on a group leader, and then they get down to business.

While going through multiplayer, there will be five classes to choose from: Warriors, Archers, White Mages, Black Mages, and a support class. Warriors are the melee fighters for up close combat, while archers rain arrows from a distance, and black mages bombard enemies with arcane attacks. All the while, others take care of healing. The support class appears to fill a micromanagement role where it creates special orbs that magic users need in order to cast their spells.

Generally, the action will take place on the top screen, while players issue commands and sort through menus via the touch screen. However, it is possible to swap the screens, allowing players to attack enemies simply by poking them with their stylus pen. Going this route is also expected to open the door to special combo attacks.

Single player mode will follow the adventures of the twins as they unearth the mysteries of a red crystal, which reminds me of a lot of free pc games download puzzles. Along the way they will meet new characters like Meeth, the spell caster Alhanalem, a lad named Gnash, and the twins’ father, Ratov. Don’t worry you don’t have to memorize the names, just play and have fun!

Handheld gaming, which in time became the last bastion for this graphical style, has seen 2D games on the decline in recent years. That being said, they arecontinuing to fight the good fight in keeping this style alive and kicking, having recently announced that they are bringing the action RPG Odin Sphere to North America on the PS2. It may be only one game, but the sheer level of detail in its 2D visuals is staggering. All one needs to do is look at some of the screenshots in order to see the quality of the visuals that this game will have. Vanillaware, who created the equally impressive Princess Crown for the SEGA Saturn, is developing Odin Sphere. Now, a generation of hardware later, the improvements in visuals are noticeable. The game appears to be going for a mixture of anime and water colors in the art style, making for some surreal environments thus far. Moreover, it’s promised that the spell and attack effects while fighting will be spectacular.

However, Vanillaware is setting out to make this game more than just a pretty face. There are a number of gameplay elements in Odin Sphere that should add some interactive meat to the game. First, players will have five different characters that they can choose to play as, each with their own unique skills. Second, there’ll be cooking and alchemy in the game that will allow players to create items that can be used in combat. Finally, the bosses in the download free games for pc are expected to be giant, screen-filling behemoths.

Graphically, the game has a more arcade look and less of a simulation appearance to it. Think Daytona USA compared to Gran Turismo. The cars are rendered nicely using the muscle of the Xbox, but the backgrounds and levels themselves are average, not any better than what a PS2 can generate. When you start incurring damage on your car, the animations of your vehicle losing its parts like doors and hoods, and if you are totaled, bursting into a flaming wreck, are great. Sounds of cars crashing are metal-on-metal effective. Music is a mix of rock/punk tunes from a bunch of unknown bands, but fits Totaled’s gameplay style well.

Totaled employs a simple control set-up to make the game easy to pick up and play. The two triggers control the acceleration and braking of the cars, and the “B” button sets off the limited supply of nitro boosts. The most important control, even though it seems innocuous at first, is the “A” button that operates your vehicle’s handbrake. Using the handbrake to force your car into sliding action is the key to scoring big points and completing the maneuver levels. It also protects the front-end of your car in the arena fights while inflicting damage with the less-important-to-your-survival side or rear of your metal motor monster.

The camera’s fixed position gives you a good perspective on the cars in front of you with some peripheral vision. However, by using the right analog stick, you can train the camera on both sides and the rear of your vehicle. It’s a good feature, like I said, it reminds me of an arcade game, or like a free pc game, but in practice it can throw you off a little bit if you are cruising at a high speed. I generally avoided using it, but at least the developers included it for those who may want to incorporate it in the gameplay.

Viking is like a mixture of the God of War and Dynasty Warriors games. Most missions in the game simply involve eviscerating as many enemies as possible in a variety of brutal and gory ways. There are also impressive large scale battles that look great, but are more eye candy than they are challenging.

The developers tried to add some depth by adding in sneaking missions and quests for items or power ups. While the item quests work well, the sneaking feels a bit too much like trial and error. You will die multiple times until you find the one or two feasible paths. This can lead to a bit of frustration, but there are only a few sections like this.

The world of Viking is mostly an open world consisting of three islands. This allows players to complete most goals in any order they want to. There are many smaller goals that must be completed before larger goals, and this helps add a bit of structure to the game and gives a great sense that you are always working to achieve some end goal.

Viking can get a bit repetitive and also suffers from a bit of graphical inconsistency. Still, this ends up being rather minor because the action moves swift enough that you never really stay stuck on the download games for pc or in one area long enough to concentrate on any of these problems.

Mass Effect is an action-RPG made by the geniuses at BioWare Corp. who are also responsible for more recent classics like Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic and Jade Empire. In the game you play the role of Commander Shepard, who you can choose to play as the default character in the game or make your own avatar from scratch. You then can decide to pick their class and background. Now as you can see, even before begin to play this game, the game’s main goal for the player is to give him or her the freewill to make their own choice, but more on that later.

As you begin the story in the game, you soon discover the meaning of the game’s title. Years in the future, humanity ventures into Mars and finds secret alien technology that allowed us to travel across the universe in the blink of an eye, this technology was then called the Mass Effect. Like the new kid on the block, humans soon discover that they aren’t the only ones living in the universe and soon bump into other alien races that aren’t too sure of the humans and the reputation that perceives us. Skip a couple of hundred years and you’ll soon enter the games main plot.

As Commander Shepard, you are dropped in the middle of an intergalactic war between a cybernetic race known as the Geth. The Geth’s main goal is to wipe out oraganic life as we know it. Why? Well, that’s something you need to go find out on your own. The free game downloads were highly praised as having the best sci-fi story ever written since Star Wars and to say anymore would be a sin.

Keeping with its roots, the game uses the same overhead view-now with a wider view area-and puts you right into battle to shoot everything on the screen that you can without dying. You are given the choice between three different ships, varied by speed / power / health. With only four levels to complete, Capcom ensures you will have to replay over and over to memorize enemy positions to get through such few amount of levels.

Enemies range from having your basic small annoying planes that are easily shot down, to medium sized tanks and larger sized planes that will annoy the hell out of you with their maneuvering or highly powerful and hard to dodge arsenal. Each level brings something new to challenge you and bosses are ‘take up the whole screen’ huge with many parts you have to hit to win.

Co-op play is offered both on the same system or online. I was able to play through all of the full version games three levels with a random person with no headset, he couldn’t keep up with my awesomeness, but still the game offered much enjoyment having a second person there (lag free as well). I have read about some glitch issues on the Xbox 360 version, but I did not run into this problem (solution just in case: If the sync messes up, just keep playing until the level is through, sync will restore on the next level).

Visually, Joint Strike is awesome. I wish all older titles were given the reworking shown here. Everything is 3D but the game plays completely in 2D. Colors are fitting for the time period and theme of the game. I do want to make a note that at one point there was so many enemy planes and bullets flying that I did get some slow down, only once though and just for a second, still it was noticeable. Gameplaywise, the game offers very little difference from what was offered in the original arcade classic. This may be the games only weak point. I started playing at 2:40am and by about 3:10 I was already hitting up the last boss. Length is not Joint Strike’s strong point. In fact, I does make me ponder about the cost of the game being $10, and if I would have spent that much in quarters beating it in the arcade.

Final Fight- Streetwise picks up several years after the arcade series ended. The original heroes, Cody Travers, Guy (AKA Genryusai), and Mike Haggar, have gone their separate ways, and Metro City has subsequently fallen on hard times. Cody spent sometime in prison for a crime he didn’t commit, Mike retired from his mayoral civic position and opened up a wrestling gym, and Guy fell into a life of organized crime and has risen to become a powerful underworld figure –this is not your big brothers Final Fight.

In Streetwise, you’ll assume the role of novice street fighter Kyle Travers, Cody’s little brother. Cody has taken his younger brother, Kyle, under his wing and has been coaching him on the particularities of the street fighter lifestyle. After one of Kyle’s fights, Cody is abducted by the mafia, and it’s up to Kyle to track down his brother and figure out what trouble his older sibling has gotten into.

In addition to Cody, Streetwise also has a mixed bag of cameo appearances from old school characters. You’ll be able to train with and fight along side Guy and Mike Haggar, and enter in street fights with Andore and Street Fighter II character Cammy! One of the mini-games even let’s you demolish a SUV just like the bonus level in the original Final Fight games full version free download game.

Players familiar with the series can expect the same tight, responsive controls as previous entries, and making Soma run, jump, and slash feels natural right from the get-go. Fans of Aria in particular will be pleased to see the Soul System returning, albeit now referred to as Tactical Souls. For the uninitiated, Tactical Souls function as follows: when Soma defeats an enemy there is a random chance that Soma will take possession of said enemy’s soul (except bosses, who always give up their souls). These souls are divided up into four categories. The first are red Bullet-Type Souls, which when equipped, allow Soma, for a small amount of magic, to hurl some kind of projectile, be it axe, bone, or spicy rice curry (seriously). Next come the blue Guardian-Type Souls. These bad boys are activated (once equipped, duh!) by pressing or holding down the R button, and they generate some kind of lasting effect, such as a protective shield, a stream of random projectiles, or huge stat increases. Of course, they also drain Soma’s magic faster than Anna Nicole would an aging tycoon’s bank account. Thirdly, you got your yellow Enchant-Type Souls. These don’t cost any magic and they typically grant some kind of fairly mild stat increase when equipped. Finally, gray Ability-Type souls simply need to be picked up and Soma gains a permanent ability such as a double jump or free movement in water. The only real difference between this system and make a transformer online is that the one in Aria is that this time you actually benefit from getting more than one soul of a certain type, as many of the souls’ granted skills gain potency the more you have. Though this might tempt you to cling to every last soul as Ozzie Osbourne does his last remaining brain cells, this isn’t necessarily encouraged, since most of the more powerful weapons are obtained by sacrificing souls in the new Soul Synthesis shop. By combining weaker weapons with various souls the player can get some pretty potent stuff, particularly when giving up more powerful souls. Of course, once the souls are used, they’re gone for good, so you better think long and hard before you give up that rare soul, mister!

The game wastes no time with setup or character introductions but instead leaps right into the thick of things. In the opening movie Brotherhood leader Magneto and his lieutenants Mystique and Sabertooth are seen breaking into some kind of military controlled facility, only to be joined by three of the X-Men in what turns out to be a rescue of X-Men founder, Professor Charles Xavier. In short order it is revealed that Apocalypse, an ancient and extraordinarily powerful mutant (and a generally bad, bad [super]human being), kidnapped X-Men member Polaris, carting off Prof. X in the process. At around that same time he and his forces staged an attack on Magneto’s mutant refuge, an island called Genosha, reducing it to smoking rubble and imprisoning most of its residents. Therefore, after falling to their knees amidst the ashes and bellowing, “NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!” at the sky, the former archrivals decide it is in both their best interests to join together in battle against the common foe. Your first missions involve rescuing those citizens of Genosha, not that it is a racing games free download full version, that can be located while tracking down clues to where Polaris is being held.
